Kate Anderson has a Bachelors of Arts with a major in Studio Art, with a concentration in print making, from Hollins University. Kate exhibits in many regional galleries and juried exhibitions and has won awards for her print making.
Recently relocating from Southern Virginia, Anderson has taught print making at her home studio as well as the Chestnut Creet School of the Arts in Galax, Virginia, and the Jacksonville Center for the Arts in Floyd, Virginia, where she also served on the Board of Directors for two years.
Kate's love and interest of the natural world has led her to use environmentally-friendly low and non-toxic techniques and materials. Solar plate etching, silk aquatint, stencils and chine collé are some of the techniques she combines in creating her prints.
